Robert and Bill Rex

Although he took more photos of Robert Rex (left) than his brother Bill, Pat Milo seems to like them both quite a bit.  There's a famous picture of Mr. Milo grabbing Bill by the package.

 

Curt Parks

Pat Milo didn't take all that many full-on derriere shots,

but this one of Curt Parks is quite good.

 

Ray Roberds

Mr. Milo got a big smile from Ray Roberds in this odd photo

with an old fashioned settee and a modernist backdrop.

 

Tony Sabatino

We get a serious look from Tony Sabatino.

 

Emmett Schaeffer

I really like the lighting in this rather straightforward pose of Emmett Schaeffer.

 

Keith Stephan

Although perhaps best known for his work with Bruce of Los Angeles,

Keith Stephan also posed for Pat Milo, as here.

These two are Australian naturists.

 

Pool Toss

All three of these guy engaged in pool horseplay are hairy.  Perhaps the lifeguard 

was a fur lover and let them get away with breaking the rules.

Although he usually gets his own series, I couldn't resist including this shot of Bruno.

Going back to the early 20th Centuryn for today's series,

starting with a man scratching his head in the woods.

I think this slightly chubby fellow is being herded around some military installation.

After struggling through the Fraktur print at right, I'm pretty sure that this German is doing the stretching and warmup component of an early 20th C. exercise program.

Laurence Woodford

This is Plate 17, Back Study, from Laurence Woodford's book, Physical Idealism and the Art 

of Posing.  Mr. Woodford was an early 20th Century physical culturist and model, a few of whose 

photos I had come across over the years.  Our resident life model, David, delighted 

me by purchasing a copy of the book and sharing it with me and my viewers, 

expanding my collection tenfold.  Thank you, David!

 

Shot or Rocks?

I can't tell if these Germans are getting ready to do the shot put or heave rocks.

 

2nd Wave Contribution
