Blogger Favorites I - Middle Age Nudists

Dan M from Nashville hit me up on the contact form and requested that I post some of my 

favorite photos and/or art works.  I've done that a few times in the past, and I always felt 

like I was leaving some good ones out.  So this time around I'm taking a new approach.  

I will do an ongoing series called Blogger Favorites and focus on a different category 

each time.  Having said that, I will probably leave out some good ones, but let's start with 

one of my favorite themes, midle age nudists.  The man above used the same camera, a 

Rolleiflex twin lens, that I used as the photographer for my high school yearbook. 

But I'm sure that hardly any of you are looking at the camera.

 

Everyman

I included this fellow because he is simply a pleasant everyman type.

The ordinary can be extraordinary if we allow it.

 

Official

This gentleman was some sort of official in the nudist community.  I have a lot of photos 

of him presiding over various meetings, sign-ins, and pageants.  This, alas, 

is the best shot I have that shows him from head to toe.

 

Duo

I have to say this is probably my all-time favorite nudist photo.

The guy at right makes me swoon.

 

Trio

I find a lot to like about this trio.

 

Coach

This guy looks amazingly like my 10th Grade PE teacher, and I mean down to the last detail. 

Showering with him was the highlight of my school day.

 

Mr. Charm

I call the subject of our final four photos Mr. Charm.  You'll see why in a moment.

Here he's helping a female climb a ladder.

I cropped our last image of Mr. Charm from a larger picture where he was helping a female 

to climb a ladder.  What that had to do with charm school, I don't know.

 

The old book trick

I call this guy Mr. Charm both because he looks charming and because he's in some of his photos

 he's doing that old charm school routine of balancing a book on a young female's head.  

Unfortunately, in most of those his fine body is blocked by the girls.

Here's our hero having another go at book balancing.

 

Gentleman

Always a gentleman, Mr. Charm is reaching to help a female coming down some steps.

 

Balance Achieved

Was all that balancing leading up to building a human pyramid?

3-D, Please

Of all the items from Denny Denfield's 3-D portfolio,

this may be the one I'd most like to see in format.

 

Pole

This model appears to be tossing a pole.  Maybe it's supposed to be a spear.

 

Derriere Pair

Denny Denfield's amateur status kept him from the legal traps that many of his professional peers faced.  Perhaps as a result, he didn't do all that many of the derriere photos that would pass the censors.  This magnificent color shot is a noteworthy example of what he could do in that regard.

 

Classic

I sense a Classical influence in this one.

Classic Hair

Closing the Denny Denfield series with a fellow wearing a classic early to mid-1950s hair style.  When I go through my family albums of that period, which is often, I see it over and over.

It's PaJaMa Collective day, and we start with a photo of Donald Windham

The model for this PaJaMa photo from the Smithsonian's collection is said to be John Butler.

This Jared French drawing is thought to be a study for a larger work.

Our third Smithsonian photo shows a model with a well formed backside.

 

Paul Cadmus II

Our second Paul Cadmus drawing has a date of 1943.

 

Smithsonian IV

Our final image is the fourth in today's series from Margaret Hoening French's donation to the Smithsonian.  I have at least half a dozen pictures of this model, but no name.
