Tony, Lee, and Joe

These three are Tony Perry, Lee Hayes and Joe White, but not necessarily in that order.
I never could keep them straight, and neither could they from the looks of them.
Oh, and the one in the middle looks like his legs are sunburned.

Buddies

I think these are army buddies from either WWII or Korea.

Fishing

I think this white haired hefty fellow is fishing.

Amateur Group

Not the greatest quality, but some of us enjoy amateur group shots.

John Corvello

The Playgirl issue from February of 1975 featured this shot of John Corvello.

Trim

For those of you who like men on the trim side.

July 1962

Bait buckets and two bubbas make this one from 1962 sort of classic.

Charlie Ram

This is Charlie Ram photographed by Bruce of LA.

Dad

Closing the boating series with a photo I found labeled "vintage dad."

Kris Studio Day

We're over due for a full series by Chuck Renslow of Kris Studio,
so let's get started with Steve Kotis.

Johnny Savage

I think that's a leather belt Johnny Savage is holding over his head.
I suppose it would go with the boots and cap.

Jerry Roquemore

A Kris Studio photo of Jerry Roquemore made page two of some magazine.

Ralph Kliener

Chuck Renslow put some effort into the lighting on this shot of Ralph Kleiner.

Bill Seno

Bill Seno shows off his well developed pectorals in this one.

Ron Rector

Our only color picture of the day is Ron Rector.

David Selhime

I somehow haven't posted this Kris photo of David Selhime with his arms crossed until now.

Kip Behar

Chuck Renslow is known to have made at least one working trip to Los Angeles,
and that's probably where he took this exceptionally lighted shot of Kip Behar.
The picture appeared in January of 1959 in Gym Magazine.

Bob Kolinski

The g-string strap is a bit distracting, but Bob Kolinski still looks good.

Johnny Menendez

Our Kris Studio set ends with Johnny Menendez.

Gerhardt Liebmann

We take another look today at the work of American artist and photographer Gerhardt Liebmann.
Our first item is an undated piece that might have been inspired by G.P. Lynes.

Man Standing

Gerhardt Liebmann used a technique with combined photographes with drawings and pastels, and Man Standing Between Two Walls is a good example.  I've enlarged the photo below.

Eros Unbound

This montage was put together by artist Carl Morse after Gerhardt Liebmann's death from AIDS in 1989 at age 61.  It is composed of photos of gay men taken by Mr. Liebman between 1968 and 1980, mostly in New York.  The title is Eros Unbound, the Last Generation of Free Homosocial Men.
Enlarge this if you can and see the faces of our brothers, most of whom are gone.

Soho

This untitled work is from Mr. Liebmann's Soho perios in the mid-1970s.
The drawn on lines are suggestive of bondage.

Nude Male Dancing

This 1980 work is Nude Male Dancing, and it makes
me think of some El Greco's elongated figures.

110 Male Asses

This 1978 montage is called 110 Male Asses, and I've enlarged a few segments below.

No Hiding

This is No Hiding from 1979.

Cowboy

Although mild compared to some of Gerhardt Liebmann's work,
this cowboy has a definite bondage theme.

Floating Man

Although it looks like the model is falling, Gerhard Liebman titled our closing image Floating Man.
