Newish Colt Images

I'm posting some of the more recent additions to my Colt
collection today, starting with Shawn Wilson.

Unknown I

I like the pose, the unknown model, and the setting in this one.

Ken Conroy

I've seen this model generally referred to as Ken Conroy,
although one source says he also went by Ken Marcus.

Unknown II

The second of three unknown (to me) models in today's set posed with a statue.

Nino and Gary

When I first spotted this picture, I thought it was a Bob Mizer/AMG poolside image.
Turned out to be Jim French going a bit off type.

Gavin Blake

An online auction site says that Jim French published
this photo of Gavin Blake under the Rip Colt marque.

John Corvello

This is John Corvello.

Unknown III

I'm hoping one of you knows this model's name because I'd really like to see more of him.

Angelo Korda

This is Angelo Korda in an outdoor setting.
Nice hair pattern.

Too real

For a moment I thought our final Colt images was one of those ultrarealistic art pieces.
It isn't.  It's Andy Miller as photographed by Jim French.

Random Nudists

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Happy trail

Is that a happy trail all the way from his collar bone on down?
Either way, I may need to open a happy trails category tag.

Flower in hand

I'm sure it's not what most of you are looking at,
but does his left hand look photoshopped?

Picket fence

Gossiping at a picket fence?

Punch

Is this guy about to punch somebody, or is he holding something we can't see?

Ordinary average guys

Ordinary average guys.

Spider

The spider tattoo wasn't quite enough to get this guy in to a tattoo series.

Australian

We get a sly grin from this man from an Australian naturist magazine.

Bucket

I don't have enough nudist photos of guy with buckets to give
them their own tag, so this fellow goes into the random set.

Two tag

Our last random nudist male has two of those tags used at the 60s resorts.  I've read
that they were used to mark approved members and to ID contestants in pageants
and athletic competitions.  This guy apparently was tagged for both.
Either that or he was wearing a pendant.

Professor Desbonnet Day II

Today will be my second full series featuring the work of Professor Edmond Desbonnet,
and we will start with a photo of the man himself.

Statue duplicate

The model here is Brancaccio, who will appear later today without the fig leaf.
Desbonnet posed him here to duplicate a Classical statue, even down to the leg support.

Before?

This model is not nearly as well developed as most of Desbonnet's
Perhaps he was a beginner who posed for a "before" photo.

Derriere

We get a nice derriere here, but the model is unknown.

Fig Leaf

Maitrot must have been modes because he posed in a fig leaf.

Deriaz?

The  profile here makes me think of one of the Deriaz brothers,
but most of them were even beefier than this guy.

Later work

This photo of an unknown bodybuilder was made late in
Professor Desbonnet's career, which lasted into the early 1950s.

Dramatic

This photo captures a dramatic moment.

Brancaccio

I have seen other photos of this athlete listed only as Brancaccio, but have been unable to find any information on his career.  Desbonnet photographed him several times.

And finally, an American pupil

The photo of American bodybuilder John Grimek was made during a time when he had acquired some of Professor Desbonnet's books and used his training methods.  It paid off because Mr. Grimek went on to win Mr. America, Mr. Universe, and AAU Mr. USA titles in the 1940s.  He made a pilgrimage to Paris to visit Prof. Desbonnet and thank him for his long lifetime of work in 1950.  The good professor gave Mr, Grimek a medal which he  had specially made to award to his best students.  The American champion described the visit as one of the high points of his career.
