Early 20th Century

We visit the early 20th Century again today, and we start with another
Arthur Schulz photo of an Italian  model I featured a few weeks ago.

1910 Duo

I wish I knew the story on these two.  As usual lately, Google was no help.

La Culture Physique

This handsome fellow appeared in La Culture Physique magazine around 1910.
I wish I knew who he was so I could acquire more photos of him.

Handstand

Larry over at The Unashamed Male sent me this photo of a guy doing a handstand.
                                                                        Thanks, Larry!

Kayak Men

Those of you who know me well will understand why I find this group so attractive. On the historical side, the men are Estonians who kayaked across the Baltic to Finland in 1912.  The man out front was Leopole Tonson, later a hero of the Estonian War of Independence.

Academie

This came from Le Academie de Culture Physique, presumably a French or Belgian organization.
I find it interesting because when enlarged, we can see a hairy derriere.

Koch Freilicht

I'm presenting this one twice.  Above we have the bookseller's scan from an original copy
of Max Koch's Freilicht outdoor male nude portfolio book.  Below, I removed the
yellowing and cropped out the handsome male for a better look at his physique.

Stable

These handsome fellows were part of a "stable" of early 20th Century wrestlers.
France and Russia were both known for these, and the Germans even got in a bit.
If I had to guess, I'd say these are French.  Google was no help at all.

Desbonnet or Richer?

Although the pose is reminiscent of Sandow, the model and photographic
style make me think of Prof. Desbonnet and/or Paul Richer.

European

All I know about this one is that the photo is European.

Maurice Deriaz

This is Maurice Deriaz, perhaps the best known and most
photographed of the seven Deriaz Brothers.

Favorite

I saved my favorite of the day for last.  It's from the sack of tumblr,
and unfortunately I have no information on it.

Stanley Stellar at the Piers

We return to the Piers in New York for today's set, and all the photos are by Stanley Stellar.
We begin with Robert Feeling Free from 1983,

Gimme Dick

Stanley Stellar called this photo Gimme Dick

Brian Michaels

Here we have Brian Michaels from 1981.

Flat

My source had only a stock number for this one, but a search turned
up several references to it as Piers, Late Afternoon, 1979.

Topsy Turvy Clone

Stanley Stellar called this one Sunday Spray, 1981,
but I call it Topsy Turvy Wet Gay Clone.
FWIW, I find him quite attractive.

Red II

Mr. Stellar called this one Red II, and it's from 1984, quite late in the Piers history.
I believe they started demolishing the location shortly after this.

Scott Pink

I think the man here was called Scott Pink, and if my source is correct, the photo
was made on Stanley Stellars first ever visit to the Piers in 1976.

Danny

This is Danny from 1982.

Interesting assortment

I find the assorted nature of the men and activity here to be very interesting.

Rick Daccard

Our final Stanley Stellar Piers photo is Rick Daccard from 1981.

Andrew Kozak Day

Andrew Kozak posed for AMG, Denny Denfield, Kovert of Hollywood, and likely others.  His work never fails to impress, and he gets a lot of positive comments whenever he appears here.  Today I'm featuring eleven photos that I don't think I've posted before.  We start with an unattributed picture.

Posing strap

I don't have a photographer attribution for this very good posing strap photo of Mr. Kozak.

Denfield

Although my source didn't say so, I'm fairly certain that this photo of Andy Kozak was
from a memorable photo shoot by Denny Denfield in a mountainous area.

Backside by AMG

Bob Mizer of AMG took this derriere photo of Andy Kozak,
and it's one of only about half a dozen rear views in my collection.

Creekside

I really like the creekside setting for this Denny Denfield photo of Andy Kozak.

With Alan Thomas

Alan Thomas is giving Andrew Kozak a knee to the behind in this AMG photo.

Familiar Backdrop

The rock mountainside in the background appears in a number
of Denny Denfield's photos of Andrew Kozak.

Artist at work

As I've mentioned in other postings, Andrew Kozak is recognized as a very good water color artist whose work still shows up from time to time in gallery auctions.  Here he is shown with Dick Dubois.

AMG?

One source for this photo says it is by AMG, but several others say Kovert of Hollywood.
I'm inclined to go with the latter because I've never seen any frontals of Mr. Kozak
by AMG, and I can't imagine Bob Mizer only having taken one.

Unattributed

Although my source had no photographer attribution,
the projected backdrop makes me think AMG.

Another by Denfield

Our final shot of Andy Kozak is another one outdoors by Denny Denfield.
